The Encyclopedia contains 3000 Fiqhi terms in 20.000 pages by 200 researchers and scholars
Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Mr. Fahad Al-Shualah announced that the ministry has completed a 3500 new radio episodes of the Fiqh Encyclopedia. Al-Shualah said in a press statement that the Fiqh Encyclopedia is the pride of Kuwait and its precious gift to the Islamic world. He added that the encyclopedia of its 45 volums is considered one of the greatest jurisprudential works of the modern era. It included at least 3,000 Fiqhi terms in about 20,000 pages, by 200 researchers and scholars who exerted their efforts and experiences over forty years to enrich the Arabic library. Therefore, the Fiqh Encyclopedia will remain a source of pride throughout the ages, as it became a basic reference for every scholar and researcher, especially in the fields of jurisprudence and legislation. The encyclopedia aimed at reviving the jurisprudential heritage and making it available for comparative studies, in addition to facilitating the recourse to Islamic law to devise appropriate solutions to contemporary problems and issues. The minister affirmed that this is in line with the strategy adopted by the Ministry of Awqaf, which aims to enhance Islamic values and culture in a way that complies with the challenges and developments witnessed by the nation.
