Dr. Ahmad Al-Wanis: Prosperity and economic rebound depend mainly on the country's security and stability
Allah Almighty Has blessed mankind with countless of blessings, maybe the most important of them is the grace of safe and secure living. Since security is the cornerstone for the social stability, as well as it is the first step for the building of human civilization. In this regard, Dr. Ahmed Bin Hamad Al-Wanis, Faculty Member at Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University in KSA said that security is that sense of tranquility and peace of mind. In other words, a secure society is the one that free from all causes of fear, and its members live in peace and tranquility.
Therefore, prosperity and economic rebound depend mainly on the country's security and stability. Moreover, living in a secure community enable Muslim to fulfill all his religious duties and daily responsibilities, such as gathering for prayer, work, education, research or any other social activity. All of this can only happen if a person has a reasonable level of security and safety in his or her own social environment. There is no doubt that many of our home countries enjoy a state of safety and peace, unlike some other societies that are suffering from unrest and strife, which makes their people live in constant fear and panic.
There is a prophetic Hadith describing that sense of security and tranquility: "Whoever wakes up in the morning, secured in his dwelling, healthy in his body, having his food for the day, then it is as if the world has been gathered for him" [Narrated by Tirmidhi].
Since all people, without exception, are in constant need of security; the ruler and citizens, rich and poor, young and old. So, the achievement of security and safety is due to several factors:
First, Faith and Tawheed, any imbalance in the concept of faith could lead to strife and tensions and perhaps conflicts among members of society, and then little by little people could lose the sense of safety and reassurance within their communities.
Second, Giving up sins, because committing sins is one of the main reasons for divine punishment, and depriving people of safe life that they used to. Allah Almighty says: {And Allah presents an example: a city which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing} [An-Nahl:112].
Third, Staying away from strife [Fitnah] and its causes, because if Fitnah occurs, it will affect everyone with its consequences and damages.
Fourthly, Unification and non-dispersion, rally around trustworthy religious scholars. In accordance with Allah's saying: {And hold fast, all together, by the Rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;} [Al-Imran:103].
Fifthly, Staying away from the groups of Takfir and extremist ideologies, because such groups are often involved in acts of violence and terrorist crimes.
Sixth, Avoid drifting behind the rumors and false news promoted by agitators, especially those who spread lies via social media.
Seventh: To tighten the supervision of parents and educators on youth, in order to ensure raising young Muslims on the correct religious teachings, and warning them of deviant thought and extremist ideologies.
Before all this and after, we must continue to pray and supplicate to Allah Almighty to maintain the blessing of security and safety, and to protect our home countries from the agitators and rabble-rousers.
